Years ago, I worked as a bank teller. And to be frank, from week two I didn't feel it was the job for me. Not a quitter by nature, I decided to stay for a bit. Beyond my understanding as to why at the time, "a bit" amounted to nearly three years.
After moving into his new place, Mr. A felt himself being pulled to the bank location where I was rather than the one closest to him. At my teller window, he was nervous that the large stack of small bills his roommate gave him for rent would make me think he enjoyed "extracurricular activities", whereas I kept losing my count because he was so adorable standing before me in his Weezer shirt.
Over the next couple months, as I got ready some mornings I had a feeling he'd be into the bank so I took a moment to look extra spiffy. And since Mr. A & I have been very in tune with each other from Day 1, I was always right. Then it was time to leave the bank so I found Mr. A on Facebook under the pretense that "it was no longer unethical that I approach him" & he asked me out for Thai food! And that was our beginning.
Hindsight being what it is, I now know that destiny made me hang around the bank all that time so that I could meet him.
(SIDEBAR: I know you're wondering if I looked up his account balances before I messaged him..I did not. Admittedly, the only thing I checked was his age. It's only by a year but he loves that I'm an "older woman".)
How did you & your significant other meet? If you don't have a mate at this present moment, how about you share the story of how your parents met!
Don't forget to have a great Valentine's Day on purpose! (Our tradition? Peanut butter pie!)

What a cute story! My husband and I met the first day of college, when he complimented my Labyrinth poster, a movie we both love. We were friends for a year before we started dating. When we married years later, we danced to "As The World Falls Down" from Labyrinth for our first dance at our wedding. :)
