Food is love. And I love love. Therefore, that delectable gravy gets poured over everything on my plate. If Mr. A & I discover that you aren't a "gravy person" (and we have met such folks) then you just told us in so many words that you're not our type of people. Not saying you're a bad person, you're just not going to enjoy spending time at our house if you don't enjoy culinary indulgence.
Because it's one of the ways I show affection. I'm Italian-Sicilian. We feed people. It's in the by-laws. Our DNA is composed of bread & butter, I'm sure of it. Instead of veins, we have angel hair pasta.
My favorite care packages contain food. At the bottom corner of the box you can find the secret ingredient... Love. Ahhh, it's cheesy but oh so true! Because it makes my heart warm & fuzzy every time I use the maple syrup made from trees in my mom's town, the blueberry preserves jarred two towns over, the Trader Joe's chocolate syrup & cheese doodles that Mr. A's mom sent.
