Friday Flipbook: Week 1

Lifeguard Tower

This week in pictures...

While at TJ Maxx, I stopped dead in my tracks when I saw this book out of the corner of my eye. A collection of all the Little Critter books?!? I loved these as a kid. Who am I kidding, I still love them! These two pictured were my favorites. Did you ever read these?

So Mr. A's brother got me to try these cookie nibbles after his girlfriend, Stepanie introduced him to them. I found them in the Target $1 section. In hindsight, I should have scooped up a basket-full seeing how this box only lasted until the next traffic light.

So I have a greeting card compulsion. I stock up. My theory is buy the card...the occasion will come. (My mom had the same rule pertaining to shoes.) It's a rule of thumb that hasn't led me astray yet.
I appreciate the dark humor pictured here.

Mr. A spotted this while we were shopping
Is it throwback in the sense that it's made with real sugar (Scary.) or because the design changed?
Is someone in advertising going to lose their job over this poor placement?

These motivational mugs caught my eye at a gourmet grocery store I was browsing. I say browsing because 1) I could barely even afford pasta in this store &  2) I was merely in the mood to treat my senses.

Now in this bag,
there was a chip,
the flippiest little chip,
that you ever did see,
that you ever did see!

(These are my favorite brand of chips! Typically you can only find them (barely) in the South or order them online. They're kosher, all natural, no preservatives, no artificial anything, no wheat gluten, no MSG, cholesterol & trans fat free & crunchy as hell because they're kettle cooked in peanut oil!)
This is the magnum opus in chip making.

An impromptu photo op focusing on this banana. Stay tuned... all will be revealed next week!

Alright, I didn't take this photo. While sitting atop the lifeguard tower, Mr. A caught me when I wasn't looking. He's quite the picture taker though he won't admit it. We went to the beach to gaze at the harvest (hiding) moon on September 11th.

What words did you see spill out of this bucket?
It's no surprise that the first thing I saw was 'pie'.
Then 'Pi. Eh'. As if to convey indifference to mathematics.

I'm laughing because he just asked, "Did you get a picture you like? I've been pretending to not be done shaving yet to make sure you got one."
He gets me. I love him.

Here's to eating the last slice of cake right off the giant platter.
Who needs another plate?!

INDULGE this weekend! (And always.)

  1. <3 LOVE the card!! Couldn't help but to laugh out loud!!

My favorite thing about food advertising is when they emphasize that it is made with REAL cheese... sugar... flavors... (as opposed to FAKE?)

OH yeah... and who doesn't/ didn't love Litte Critter books?!
