We are all born into particular realities. Some say we choose our family whereas others think they choose us. Whatever the case may be, we coalesce into a unit & present a united front to the world. Why? Because we're family & that's just what we do!
Today I decided that families are like slow cooker recipes. Nothing is ever precise or calculated. It’s a mish-mash of ingredients that are expected to simmer together for quite some time so as to bring out the best in each other. And what comes of it all? A deeply satisfying & comforting flavor. It’s a meat & potatoes kind of nourishment that can sustain your heart & soul.
Now, not all recipes have an abundance of ingredients. Some families have just a few key players but that’s all it takes! In my opinion, quality overrules quantity any day.
So so very true! But I think your family has been cookin for a while! That's what makes you and your momma so special!!!! Love you girls.

i just saw this picture, my baby portrait, and am completely overwhelmed with emotion. that you put your love and admiration for me, and for our little family, so in the for front of your life. i am humbled. i am in awe. i am so grateful. thank you for loving me so completely and for loving all of our moments, our journey...together. good or bad, the experiences are what makes us...and YOU...you are GLORIOUS!
